Beer Lovers in Toronto!

My Xmas present to James was a night out in Toronto with a tour of the steamwhistle brewery and dinner at the mill st brew pub - returning the favour for all the wine tasting we did in NOTL! Here are some snaps from our day in the city.

Waiting for the Steamwhistle tour.

Our included samples - little did we know we'd get two more!

So we bought a round. Yep, I was almost drunk by 5pm.

Mill. St Brew Pub - so delicious!!

The Distillery district.

View of Nathan Philips Square (and all the little skaters!) from our 30th floor hotel room at the Sheraton.

A well known fact thanks to fb but this is definitely post worthy.
I've been debating-slash-drooling over the condos in Milton for a loooong time. Like a few years long time. On Saturday I reached a tipping point and went back to the sales office to see what was left, thinking it would only be the most expensive units. Lo and behold it was actually the opposite, and mainly the cheapest units were left. (All ground level- the higher up, the more expensive). After a discussion with the parentals I went back as soon as they opened on Sunday (Their last day open before the holidays) and got my pre-approval to reserve a unit! Highlights include having my credit checked and being told I have the credit rating of a 70 year old (in the really good, no 26 year old has that kind of score way) and getting to place the 'SOLD' sticker on my unit on the big map! It's a terrible photo of me but oh well!

Essex 109 - you are mine!

My layout - tiny, but who cares!

Since my unit is ground level I chose a slightly smaller model that will face the road/park rather than right into the parking lot. I'll likely have a walk-out from the patio if the grading permits, which is apparently looking decent.

So, I am currently pondering over upgrades. I'm thinking all the way- dark cabinets, stainless steel appliances, ceramic floors and eschewing the carpet to install hardwood. Go big or go home, right? I have lots and lots of time to ponder this as it'll likely be a year plus before occupancy and 5-6 months before it's time to choose the upgrades. A year will fly by when I am scrimping and scrounging my money, right?!

What I made

Moksha Hamilton staff holiday party :) we went to Crockadoodle to paint ornaments. It was a ton of fun, I'll definitely be back there to unleash more creativity! He'll get all bright & shiny too after it's fired. Apparently that takes a long time, overnight!

The holidays are here!

I think this is a first for me... Getting the tree up before December! (or for that matter- even having any desire to get it up before the week before Christmas - takes a lot of arm twisting to get my family to assist bringing up the stuff since I do all the assembling and decorating!).

Behold, the Go family Christmas tree!*

*disclaimer: i would never choose coloured lights. that would be my parent's shopping at work. ♥ Callah

GPOY.. Eye edition

This morning I thought I was going for a consultation and ended up getting my permanent eye liner tattooed on. Ouch but looks phenomenal. Birthday-slash- Xmas gift from everyone this year! (ignore the fact i need a facial!)

Possible what she wore?

Comment yes or no! For a casual "post-wedding toast to the couple" afternoon event (not quite reception, i think - they got married in south africa) - my boyfriend's cousin and his new wifey in a few weeks. With tights (for december warmth) and probably strapless tank underneath instead of the white strap as showing in the second pic. Vote now!

I agreed to see Lykke Li based knowing/ liking one song. Good thing it turned out well! I was glad my aunt Melissa was in the same situation! Had a great time, thanks Melissa and Colin!

Anniversary weekend :)

Celebrating 6 months (albeit a few weeks early due to schedules!) with my babe at the pillar and post in niagara on the lake. I'm a little bit drunk already (it's like 5:00) after a few wine tastings. The night is off to a great start :)

(edit.. the pictures aren't in any particular order thanks to the blogger app, but it's the hotel (already decorated by nov 4!) and the "lake" of Niagara on the Lake. Oh, and the Michael Kors watch is my anniversary/ Bday gift... someone has good taste!
